Aid Through Sustainability
Supporting the Israeli Citizens & Food Ecosystem
We are raising money to support the aid center we established in the Rish Lakish olive press, in cooperation with the non profit organization Organic Israel, chefs, farmers and other and culinary professionals from across Israel.Together with the rest of Israel we find ourselves going through a painful time. We lost family members, friends and neighbors in a brutal and inhumane attack by Hamas. The photos and stories of women, children and elderly who have been tortured, murdered or kidnapped to Gaza continue to haunt us.
Israel’s food production and supply chains have also taken a serious hit in this war. To give aid to our fellow citizens and the ecosystem, in the past week we setup a logistic system at the olive press, with the goal of saving food and transporting it to help feed our soldiers and families from the south of Israel who have been uprooted from their homes.These efforts have brought together a community of people from across the country, contributing, supporting and healing each other together.
Farmers across the country let us collect produce unfit for sale. Then, with the help of volunteers, we pick, sort and package the produce, then transport it to cooking centers throughout Israel, where more volunteers turn it into nutritious healthy meals for those in need.We're taking donation to help us expand the urgent emergency activity in the coming weeks, and to add educational and therapeutic activities at the olive press. Every donation goes directly into growing how many people we can help and brings us closer to our goals for the future we continue to believe in - sustainable agriculture and the healing of man and earth.
